Your details, plainly

TCI Insider and the Atlas series at tciinsider.com are a Thrive product, run by Drew Scrymgeour. This notice explains what happens to the details you share with us. Questions go to drew@thrive.tc.

What we collect

  • When you register: your email address, and your name, WhatsApp number and reason for visiting if you choose to give them.
  • When you send a message, request a valuation, set a price alert or ask for a website report: what you type into that form.
  • When a business asks about a featured page, a website, an app or a change to its listing: what is typed into that form.
  • Once you are registered: which Atlases you open and how often, so we can see which research is useful.

Why we use it

  • To give you access to the blurred figures on every Atlas.
  • To reply to messages and requests you send, and to follow up on the interest you tell us about.
  • To send the monthly Atlas Brief, only if you tick the box asking for market updates. Every Brief has an unsubscribe link.

Real estate enquiries are handled by Drew Scrymgeour of Sold by Drew. Website, listing and feedback enquiries are handled by Drew at Thrive. Featured pages and apps on TCI Insider are provided by Split Decision Ventures Ltd, in partnership with Thrive, so requests and payments for them are shared with Split Decision Ventures Ltd to reply, invoice and build the page. Card payments are taken by Stripe for Split Decision Ventures Ltd.

Where it is kept

Registrations and enquiries are received through our website host, Netlify, and kept in our private account there, with notifications by email. We may also keep a copy in a private Google Sheet. We do not sell or rent your details.

Cookies and your browser

When you register, a small cookie called tci_atlas_reg is saved in your browser so every Atlas on tciinsider.com recognises you and stays unlocked. A copy is kept in your browser's local storage in case cookies are cleared. Neither is used for advertising. If you open the owner preview of a business page, a small cookie and a local storage entry note when that preview started, so it closes after two hours on that device, and a dismissed owner note is not shown again for 30 days.

Other services on the pages

Some pages load content from other providers, which may see your IP address when they do: Google Fonts for typefaces, Open-Meteo for the live weather line, Windy for the wind map, and Google PageSpeed Insights when you run the website check. If we add analytics in future, this notice will say so.

When the owner of a business opens the preview of their page, we are told that preview was opened, with the business name and the time, so we can follow up. Nothing about the person who opened it is recorded.

Your choices

  • Stop the Brief at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • Ask to see, correct or delete what we hold by emailing drew@thrive.tc.
  • Clear your browser's cookies and site data to remove the registration from that device.
