From The Sands at Grace Bay

The Sands at Grace Bay is an all-suite resort in the middle of Grace Bay Beach, set in six acres of tropical gardens seven miles from Providenciales International Airport. It celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024.

Its 114 suites, from junior suites to one, two and three-bedroom oceanfront suites, sit in six three-storey buildings around a central garden courtyard. Most have kitchens or kitchenettes and a washer and dryer, and most have a screened balcony or terrace, so it suits families and longer stays.

Three free-form pools wind through the courtyard, with a children's pool and an outdoor jacuzzi, and there are hammocks in the coconut garden. Kayaks, paddleboards, Hobie Cats, snorkel gear and bicycles are free, and the lit tennis and pickleball courts are open until 11pm.

Hemingway's, the resort's beachfront restaurant, is open all day, and Spa Tropique gives treatments in two rooms on site. Guests can take the complimentary shuttle to the sister resorts, The Palms and The Shore Club.

Keep an eye on the water. JoJo, the dolphin who has called this section of the sea home since 1980 and is protected as a National Treasure of the Turks and Caicos, sometimes swims past. By the beach at The Sands there is a bell with a sign beside it: ring the bell if you see JoJo the dolphin. It is a Sands tradition.

Ring the bell for JoJo

By the beach at The Sands there is a bell, with a sign beside it: “Ring the bell if you see Jojo the dolphin.” Here is one you can ring from anywhere. Turn the sound up.

Seen him? Tap the bell.
